I really love the sculpts used in the Movie Masters Dark Knight Toyline but for some unknown reason when they released the Batman Begins Suit Batman figure they made it half a centimetre shorter than The Dark Knight suit Batman which is supposed to be the light and thinner of the two. As soon as I got the Begins Batman I cut it at the waist joint and placed in some material to raise his height upto the same as The Dark Knight figure. This made him lose waist movement but on the upside he doesn't look hilariously short when he takes on the Scarecrow. The reason I haven't posted this sooner is because I didn't think it warranted a custom but recently I came over to the side that think that plastic capes look a tad lame, so I drew up a pattern accurate to the wingspan of the cape used in the films and after a bit of sewing machine action attached it to my Begins Batman and haven't looked back. The improvement is obvious straight away. without the stiff plastic cape a lot more movement is possible and the back of the figure doesn't bend backwards with its weight. Plus with a cape the same shape as in the films, the material holds itself much better and adds a level of realism the figure didn't have before. For the record I used a Black cotten T-shirt fabric which is thick enough to not let light through (which having seen customs like this on here in the past has been a real problem)but light enough to sew and attach easily. While it isn't obvious in the pictures below the change of height made at the waist makes all the difference and I advise anyone unhappy with the issue to try it.
