Used to be hooked on those early Saturday morning macho cartoons: Hercules, He-Man, Thundarr the Barbarian! And never understood why they didn't make a cartoon version of Conan. So they finally came out with Conan: The Adventurer in the early 90's which ran a few episodes and even spawned a toyline from Hasbro. The cartoon was just not "man enough", and it didn't seem like Conan at all. Conan is supposed to be a thief, a killer, a womanizer, and this cartoon portrayed him as a monogamous, kind and caring person who refused to strike an unarmed opponent. It totally went against the grain of a true blooded Barbarian! Well, times have changed and cartoons nowadays certainly show much more violence. If the producers ever pick-up the series again, they should remake it into something darker - with more serpents, sorcerers, and half-naked jungle women! So here's a concept Conan figure done animated: base: Skaar, son of Hulk, replaced hands from WWE head: Streetfighter Alex gear/weapons: Mcfarlane Skullsplitter/Viking made the necklace from real shark's teeth, earrings from chain links, sculpted side dagger sheath, snake arm band and boots. Thanks for checking this out! ![]() |

Well this version of Conan. Although I would have liked more rough face.
