One of the most iconic comic artist in comicdom - Jack Kirby! Kirby's been drawing comics since the early 30's. In the 40's, during WWII, he teamed up with writer Joe Simon and created the highly successful superhero Captain America. During the 60's he worked at Marvel, then known as Atlas Comics, with writer-editor Stan Lee to create such major characters as the Fantastic Four, the original X-men, Hulk, the Black Panther and of course Thor. Jack Kirby defined an entire generation of comic art, not only inventing great characters, but also influencing the legion of artists after him. Made from a New Gods Supes, this classic Thor tries to stay true to Kirby's style of drawing. Added a silk cape, got sis to sew up the trimmings so the edges wouldn't fray, and gave the figure a repaint. Sculpted the details with apoxie, and can never get tired of making the Mjolnir - such grace and power! And swinging his mighty hammer, Thor used to say, "Let evil tremble!! Strike for Earth and the Realm eternal!" Thanks for including this in the Realm! ![]() |

Mjolnir looks really good, but the handle looks short to me. I never really followed Thor though. My main exposure to him is when he has guest appearances in other comics, and his ML figures. Is the handle that short normally?
