I loved the DC Super Heroes "Knight Shadow" Batman's overall design, but felt that that the figure itself was lacking in execution. I needed a better version.

I started off with a DC Universe Classics 10 Batman. The left arm was sawed off at the top of the glove and replaced with that of the old Four Horsemen Zipline Batman because the gauntlet spikes were all twisted up for some reason. The belt was also taken from the Zipline Bats.

The head came from the original Knight Shadow Batman, while the cape was taken from a DC Direct Batman. (I don't remember which one, exactly) The chest symbol was printed off and decoupaged on, and the whole figure was given multiple coats of Dullcoat once painted to give it a wonderful satin-like sheen. Finally, the batarang was taken from the DCD Hugo Strange/Batman.

I decided to enter this in the "Way They Should Be" contest because I feel that this is the best Batsuit there is. Granted, it definitely isn't the most definitive suit, but I prefer it over all others because of the dark color scheme, as well as the completely covered face. I feel it would better protect Bruce Wayne's identity, and would appear incredibly more frightening to whoever he was praying down upon than the regular mask.
