Completely scratch built this War Machine from the ground up, using almost no parts from any Iron Man figures. In fact, the only piece that remotely resembles shellhead was the head, which came from a PEZ dispenser. Everything else that looked like machinery was picked out from fodder boxes and pieces of scrap plastic.
Decided from the get-go that this custom had to have a sturdy frame but also some POA to boot! With swivel action in the arms, and be able to lunge in the legs. The PEZ head was sculpted to a ball joint, so he can look up/down as well as side-2-side. Here are some of the pieces used:

When it was finally assembled, it looked like a messed up tin-can, all crammed and crashed together, but the paint design managed to pull everything into a cohesive construct. Sprayed black, added grey secondary armor color, then coated the figure with a satin gloss finish for a clean shine. Once dried, went in with silver-metallic hi-lites.
There are a few suits specifically designed for covert missions that not even Stark knows about. This prototype stealth War Machine was outfitted with twin mortar repulse shoulder canons, 3 rockets, a gatling gun, and laser scrambler. On a good day, fully operational, it could go on solo missions against entire militias, counter-attack simultaneous nuclear missile detonations and even take down a few Decepticons. Well, maybe not the nuclear missile thing, but it's all in a days work.
