Deathshield was trained by taskmaster to become sort of a rival of Captain America.

Death-Shield was trained by the Taskmaster. He also trained two more students to become a nasty version of Hawkeye and Spider Man and they are named theJagged-Bow and Blood Spider. Taskmaster was given the order to test his special students against Spider Man and Solo who infiltrate an estate to go after the Red Skull. The evil imposters are eventually defeated and Death-Shield's current whereabouts are unknown. The Amazing Spider-Man #367

SCULPTED HEAD TO TOE,HIS SHIELD CAME FROM TASKMASTER,PRIMER,TESTOR AND CLEAR SEALANT FINISHED OFF THIS FIGURE..

Wow, this is the last Spider-man villain I thought I would ever see from you. There's obscure, and there's OBSCURE. Does this mean you'll do Blood Spider and Jagged Bow too?
