I've been longing to make a What If?...Civil War Captain America/Iron for a while and while I was working on one using a Marvel Legends Iron Man, I just happened upon this Marvel Universe Iron Man that was perfect for repaint. I used GSI Creos/Mr. Color lacquer paints starting with laying down a base coat of silver then painting over it with clear blue and clear red. Originally I was going to make a new shield, which I did and base coated white, but never finished the paint job. Luckily I picked up a Captain America pretty cheap and viola.

Sadly the Captain America head sits too high on the Extremis armor body so I'll probably modify it to make it look more natural at a later time.

*Update* I modified a Marvel Universe two-pack Captain America head to fit onto the IM body and gave him the shield from the K-mart exclusive Iron Man 2 concept armors set Vibranium armor Mark VI figure

*Update 2* Finally got around to adding a wash to bring out the panels and detail and also added the lines coming from the inside bottom corner of the eyes. Drilled a hole through his closed fist to fit a bar for a flag and did a quick photo with a paper flag I printed but will upgrade it later as soon as I find one more suitable. I may just get a custom one printed out on canvas. New pics.
