"The great cities have risen and fallen. Civilization’s grip on mankind has grown weak and arthritic. Dark forces seek to renew forgotten covenants and primordial beasts reclaim the wilderness. Out of the north a man emerges. A man of a barbaric age who's merciless savagery may be the only key to his survival. They call him: KORGOTH." The cartoon "Korgoth of Barbaria" has only been one episode thus far on [adult swim], but hopefully it will see a full season. You can find the first episode on YouTube (if you do watch it, remember it is geared towards the 18+ crowd and shouldn't be viewed by little kids). I remember thinking: THAT guy is a barbarian of unequaled barbarity. So naturally it was he I chose to make for this contest. I used a TNA Kip James because he had very little hair and a very disgruntled look to his face and he was devoid of most clothing. I had to Dremel down his elbow and knee pads as well as his head and short's cuffs. His boots and loin cloth are sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt. His harness is foamie strips glued to a galvinized steel ring. His big chin and eyebrows were also sculpted on. His hair is from a female wrestler who's name escapes me. His big bloody axe is plastic (Sentra) with a dowel rod and a screw in the end wrapped in elastic and sculpted together. He has magnets in his hands to hold it, but the axe is too heavy and takes careful posing to keep it (probably should have gotten better hands). The paint is mainly Citadel except the blood on the axe which is Tamiya Clear Red and SFX blood. Please wait... |
