Threw on every Bowie CD ( yeah, even some Tin Machine!) just to get the right vibe while making this. Chose the DC Sinestro for base, for his thin, lanky frame, plus the costume was already sorta other worldly. The face was an original sculpt, using a DC Deadman head as base and built apoxie on top. Carved out the facial details according to the ref. pic (the music really helped too), and sculpted the hairdo around, screwed down to look like some Cat from Japan. Cut the collar/shoulder pads from clamshell plastic, repainted gold, added some height on the boots with apoxie and now he's ready to rock with the Spiders from Mars!
