The idea behind this figure and outfit is based on some X-team lists that I made up years ago. These teams were my wishlist for the direction of the comics, way back when I decided to give up reading them because the stories went silly. Cable was the field leader for the Uncanny team (the black team, which pretty much fills the same role and looks like the new X-Force does), they were a more military covert ops style unit and so the outfits for the members were mostly black.

Mostly just a straightforward re-paint of the ML6 Cable with extras. Firstly, I added some needed height on the thighs, so he now stands taller than my Cyclops by a fair bit. I also sliced the finger joints so he can move his trigger fingers seperately and cut and attached the knee-pads to his boots rather than as they were, higher up on his knees.

The goggles were from the stealth Wolverine, I drilled out the eyepieces and added clear glue and a red ink wash so they are a see-thru red. The gun and holster on his right leg are also from that figure. The left hand gun I think is based on Blade's stake-shooter but is heavily modified and the part on the back of his waste that it clips to is a hook (I wanted all the weapons to attach). The blade on his left thigh is a combination of an old GI Joe weapon handle and a LotR Legolas knife and scabbard.

The main rifle is an altered weapon from parts unknown and this clips to his back with a handy little piece of Lego worked into his back straps.
