Erik Josten: These days he's working on redeeming his criminal past, fighting crime in the guise of Atlas. As a villain, he's had many aliases, including the Smuggler, Power Man, and most famously, Goliath. As Goliath he joined the Masters of Evil and helped beat Hercules into a death-like coma.
For this figure, I used the MU Goliath, which is basically a re-tooled ML Icon Cyclops. I thought I could get away with just a straight repaint from the Hank Pym version into the evil one. Not so! In removing Hank Pym's visor, I found out there weren't any eyes. Arrgg! Then the arms bugged me. They were way too thin for a bruiser like Josten. So I swapped them with the BAF Red Hulk's. That was a major chore, as the shoulder pegs were radically different. Somehow I managed to do it, and keep articulation. I thought about keeping the existing belt, but I made my own. The studs were from the craft store, and the buccaneer boots are from rubber bungee cord. The face: I poured over pics of ML Icons, for a face to plunder. In the end, I used a movie GI Joe figure. I cut off the ears and the eyes and attached them. The colours matched pretty good, and I didn't have to paint the face, which is great, because painting flesh is my kryptonite! In the end, I'm pretty happy with the figure, and it has joined my growing collection of Masters of Evil customs. Photos by Nara and myself. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to comment!

Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. Stevid, I had to crack open the chest area as high as it would go without damaging the neck area, because I didn't want to remove the head (I tried and it would've been impossible to remove the head without cutting it). I had to elongate the pegs on the shoulder and add rubber stoppers to the tips. Hopefully they won't break!

I agree with Kull, excellent! Did you have to open up the chest area for the arms to work?
