Resurrected during arcane battles long forgotten, these dessicated remains have long outlived their original purpose. Those that 'survived' the battles of magics fifth age will meet their end on the slow lathe of time. Recipe: -LOTR Orch Commander figure (rare!) w/ skull hat -McFarlane military base (modified) A very straight-forward custom. Years ago, I saw the base figure in an issue of ToyFair, and I loved it's bulky boots and sack-gauntlet look. I found one on a website (in Australia of all places) and set to carefully carving out the Orcs face from it's helmet. I removed the impaled skull which sat atop of the orcs helmet, and made that the new head. After affixing it to the body using the Aves/baby power trick (to retain posability), I sanded down all problem areas, base coated and repainted the figure with Vallejo acrylics. All the washes are combinations of Citadel Flesh and Sepia washes. Sealed using Vallejo matte finish varnish. I hope you like him. :) ![]() |

@comicustoms!: If I come across an original McFarlane (NECA?) Ash someday, I will. When I had a table at the FanExpo2009 convention, his booth was right across the isle from min. Bruce Campbell rocks.
