NECA continues to amaze me with their accurate sculpts and character choices. I hate it when they leave out articulation though. So when I received my Army of Two figures I had to action. All of the straps used on the legs of Salem were either from the original figure or fodder. I painted everything on the lower half and dry brushed. Now he has full articulation to increase aggro and kick major @$$!

Everything from the waist up- NECA Elliot Salem
Legs- BTVS Spike
Boots- XMC Gambit
Knife and sheath- FO Punisher

I'm think Chris would be too big, maybe Sheva with some sculpt. I'm not touching Salem though, I am quite happy with him on my shelf. Thanks for the comments.

Should use a figure from Neca from the legs, maybe Chris Redfield five.

Thanks for the info. I went on a website and bought both Army of Two figures + a NECA guile before work so I could make these guys. I'll experiment with an abcrunch-balljoint to see what can be done. Using a Marvel legend's lower ab-crunch I successfully dremmeld out/ gave my MEZCO (or is it NECA?) HEROES Sylar super-ab crunching action, in addition to some other POA's. Hopefully the same can work with these guys.
Anyway - awesome work all around.

Thanks guys! blaynescott- Unfortunately there is no ab crunch, but the arms have a nice ball joint in the shoulder and a swivel in the elbow. The heads are the standard ball joint as well are the hands (which I debated removing and adding ML hands, but I was tired.) Rios and Salem are attached in different ways at the waist. I simply pulled Salem in half with heat and pop. Rios was a different story. He has a double ball joint connecting his upper torso to his lower half. I had to dremel and cut the waist off. It was permanently attached on half of his body. Pretty weird.

That is AWESOME, and ditto with the other fig. I played this game with my brother while home from university a little while back, and was great fun.
Questions though - what kind of articulation does upper bodies have? Is there an ab-crunch in both original NECA figures?
Also - how'd you separate the original upper torso from the NECA pelvis? Was any cracking-open involved, or more of a heat-and-pull method (since a lot of NECA figures seem to be solid-cast)?
Thanks!
