"Encounter on Ranagar, 1962." Hawkman and Adam Strange teamed up early on, but eventually Rann and Thanagar went to war. I plan to add Alanna and Hawkgirl to the mix, swooping and shooting at each other. The base is from the Aurora Tarzan model where he's killed a lion. I made the grass semi-desert after Alan Moore's retrofit. Hawkman is a Super Powers figure cut and reposed and beefed up. I retrofitted him to the earliest Kubert depiction. His wings are from a Masters of the Universe eagle screwed to a plastic framework cantilevered into Hawkman’s back. The arm and chest hair is just mechanical pencil. He swings his original mace fitted onto a chain. Adam Strange was my first(!) figure, and it shows. He's adapted from some Starting Lineup basketball player. The ray gun is from the spares box. He flies on plastic coated wires striped with glue and cotton ball wadding. The face and boots need revisiting.
