This is my most recent custom (and by recent I mean 3-4 months old). A not so simple head swap and recolor.

I love Red Skull. He's a relentless supervillain who just keeps coming back to give the good guys a hell of a time. I also like The Earth X Skull's uniform (The Red Punisher skull logo) it just blended the two of my favorite marvel characters (Punisher and Red Skull).

Now to the figure making process. :D

I didn't like the Face-off Red Skull I owned because it was too scrawny. I wanted a Red Skull who'd be able to stand(and fight) on his own against Captain America, so I decided to make my own Red Skull (with a tribute to the Earth X costume).

The figure was made from a ML4 Punisher base. I first removed the FO Red Skull and ML4 Punisher head. This is where I had encountered a big problem (for me at least) - they had different means in head attachment. The Punisher body didn't have a ball joint on it's neck(which means I can't do a simple head swap) and the RS head didn't had a ball joint on the head.

After much brainstorming, I then had an idea. I took a ball-joint dumbbell from a Superhero Showdown Thing and sanded both ends. I then sanded down the neck of the Punisher base so I could attach the dumbbell. Once I was finished with that process, all I had to do was recolor all the white paints apps with red... With a permanent marker. I used the markers, because I don't have the proper tools of the trade. :( That's why I call it a recolor and not a repaint (hehehe).

Anyway, here's the final figure. I liked how it turned out. The walking stick was made from a chocolate milk straw and a nail.
