I know there is a Mavel Legends Target exclusive Incredible Hulk movie figure, but what the heck, I hate it. I just can't stand the face, and why the hell did they put it on the limited articulation series 1 Legends figure? ARGH!

So here's the deal, I wanted him beefy and tall. I feel this is a decent interpretation, and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Recipe:
Torso, Hips, and Arms: House of M Hulk
Legs: Face off Hulk
Head: DC Universe B.A.F. Solomon Grundy
Paints: I base coated each colour generally and then lightened them up by dry brushing. I painted the torn shirt around the pants brown to match banner in the movie.
Now as for the pants and the jean texture. I attacked it like my ultimate grey hulk, and started with a darker blue and dry brushed layers of lighter blue over. To end it I did a light layer of white dry brushed over, and then did the bottom of the pants fraying/tears tipped with white to give it that jean effect.

Thanks for the view!

Thanks EVERYBODY!!! I had fun with this one, and he's been sitting on my shelf finished for months... just too bad and busy to take pictures and post him!
stevid:
Thanks for the interest in the photo.
I punked the original photo off of the internet! I looked for the best quality and largest sized photo, and l brought it into photoshop (where I do all my jazz for this site). I sized it to figure realm standards. The original photo had some pixelation/distortion.
I then went to my hulk photo, selected bulk areas that where surrounding the hulk, and deleted them, then I went in and in detail cleaned out the non-hulk area of the photo. Then to clean it up I used a soft brush for the eraser to keep the edges of the hulk clean. Then I duplicated it as a layer to the movie photo.
I Had to scale my toy hulk to the movie images size of the hulk by free transforming it. I fit it to almost exact size, making sure to constrain the proportions so it wouldn't warp, or display my figure in the wrong size.
Then I had to match the light of the movie photo, so I did some level and contrast sweeps to simulate the same lighting.
*side note* -I also put my light source for the hulk toy photo in the same direction as the photo from the movie.
I also had to compensate for the distance of the movie photo's image distance, and the blurring from the distance. So I went into the blur filters and gave the hulk toy layer a slight Gaussian blur, matched by tweaking it to match the movie image layer.
To make it match the photo's distortion/pixelation that I mentioned, I used the add noise filter, and matched it to the "noise" or distortion of the movie photo by playing with the setting until it looked the same. Then to get rid of that overall distortion of the photo, I used the despecle filter.
I know it's not perfect, but it was a quick way to do something fun!
*makes note, the foot really bothers me, but for some reason it had to be at this angle to get the rest of the body in the right angle to catch the pose properly. GRRR!!! Shhh don't tell anybody ok?!*
Whoo! Hope that answered your question stevid. Sorry for being so long winded about it, but thanks for the question!!!
