This was an important piece and I had to put some extra care into this one to make it that much better. It was for a fan of the series who I knew would appreciate all the little details, as I would. For those of you who are familiar with the story, this is the Roland who has reached the Dark Tower. I based his look off of the description in the last book and the picture on the hardcover dust jacket where he's in the field of roses.

I started with the head because if I couldn't get that right, then there was no point in continuing. I didn't have an extra head that would work so I finally decided to try my hand at sculpting a face. So I took the ridiculous Punisher head and sculpted from the eyes down. It looked gritty enough and I knew I had to have the squinty eyed look but that was all in painting the eyebrows.

The outfit is all cloth and I sculpted the holster, straps, and belt out of Green Stuff. I also removed his fingers and sculpted bandages over them. The hat was made out of cloth from scratch. I also sculpted the belt buckle. The rose came from a Vega figure and was really lucky to find it.
