Finally, I have something new to post! Man have I been busy this year... I was not real satisfied with the Nemesis series Punisher, and I was never very satisfied with the original Marvel Legends one either. So I took a Toybiz ML Punisher and removed the upper torso. I replaced that with a DCUC black Superman upper torso. I wanted Frankie here to have the right to bare arms as well as bear arms, so I used a couple of DCUC Hawkman arms and used some wrestling figure shoulder pad parts as the short sleeves. I was never a fan of the white gloves and boots, and I wanted a really monotone Black on Black look, so I kept the "biker style" boots from the original ML Punisher, but painted them with glossy black Krylon fusion. The inspiration for the skull logo was kind of a lark, the Superman torso already had a silver "S" logo, which made me think the skull would look better in silver as well. In addition, I was inspired by my AC/DC t-shirt which has silver screen print on black cloth. Like I said, I'm just not that big of a fan of white...I don't like the current Punisher logo, it just looks too distorted (kind of like a horse's head or something) so I thought I would take a more classic look that still represented a human skull with a menacing look. I thought that the teeth of the skull would serve well as Uzi 9 Mil. clip pouches, so I added some flaps which also made it look like there was a top and bottom row of teeth. The belt pouches, gun holster, knife sheath and knee pads were painted with flat primer. I also nixed the curious ("peoples eyebrow") left eyebrow and toned it down. Anyways, I am glad to have this one finished! Enjoy.. Please wait... |
