Got asked by a true blooded Zach fan to make this! Zacherley was a jovial ghoul that hosted a tv Horror show back in the 50s/60s. He was also a flamboyant radio personality and voice actor!
Sculpt work was done on the face to show Zach at jollier times. The head was tilted a bit back, as though he were toasting the midnight hour with a bloody glass of martini. His jacket was sculpted with apoxie on top and some fabric wrapped around the bottom - leaving enough room for the legs to move. Learned a few new tricks by using different materials to achieve the desired effect. Used some gold foil paper from a cigarette carton for the ascot, and made the medallions out of confetti, repainted. Even his nostril hairs were trimmed from synthetic doll's hair lol. Different materials have different textures, and basically anything can be converted and substituted for customizing purposes. Just gotta keep those peepers open - tryout new tricks. And learning new techniques always keeps the game interesting. Helps to also have those fodder boxes reorganized once in awhile - keeps everything in arms reach, and can find that perfect piece to top-off the work.
The last pic shows this custom getting the once over by Zach himself! The man was nice enough to pose with the custom, and judging by his expression, was pleased to be finally immortalized in figure form lol. Mozeltoff Zach!
