Baroness (G.I. Joe) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:17127
Name:Baroness
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:G.I. Joe
Creator:somebody1
Date Added:September 5, 2009
Base Figure:Crimson Viper Neca SF4
Height:7.00 inches
Hair from LOTR figures, guns from The CORPS and GI Joe knockoffs, holster from McFarlane MGS2 solid snake, knife and sheath from a Spiderman 3 Green Goblin unleashed figure, straps from various figures. Basically a redo of Crimson Viper, after realizing the glasses make her look like baroness. AFter taking the photos I've seen some flaws I need to work on and eventually will update. I made several hands with alternate weapons. I have to modify them to fit still and finish them. One hand with a pistol came from LCBH Panda.

The hair was a pain in the neck. Luckily the pieces worked well and I only had to fill in a few tiny parts. Oddly the chest was the worst, once you got the tie off her there was a deep spot left open. I tried apoxysculpt but it wouldn't smooth well. I ended up using green filler putty meant for model kits.

Woah, just saw your WiP of the hair-splicing. Great work with that! You can get some amazing results by splicing flexible plastic bits together with gel-type superglue.

She'll be better once I touch up the paint. I so need a better light in my room x.x Also need to find a tiny cobra insignia or two. Still like the idea of it on her jacket back, have to see what Reprolabels has to offer.

I decided to keep Baroness pretty much how she is now. I'm happy with her this way even if folks don't seem to think she's "Baroness" enough. As long as I'm Happy with her that's all that matters.

Can you imagine good Trasnformers? Takara reissues G1 stuff all the time in their Encore line and it's cheap even imported. They'd make a fortune over here instead of hasbro using the "Classics" line which is actually from a japanese series retelling the G1 storyline.

Could you imagine NECA making 6" scale GI Joe's? *cries* The thought is just too beautiful for words!

just like the TF movies. I swear Hasbro should lose their rights to these toys and have them given to a new company, better yet Takara should just open a branch in the US to release transformers and give NECA the rights to GI joes lol.

Too bad they royally fudged her up in the movie by making her a good guy. Then just to really make me mad she's not even Russian or in love with Destro. That movie was so much fail it hurts.

She's actually a prototype for the baroness in my fan comic I was thinking off. Sort of her "in disguise" outfit. I was thinking of doing some paint changes. I figure I'll do those when I go back through my customs and do touchups and mods. There's a spot on her collar under her chin that is a big empty spot. I was trying to come up wiht a jewel or something (like the one destro has around his neck in the 80s toy) but if I can find a small cobra symbol I might do that. I'd originally thought about doing it on the back of her jacket but had no idea how to do it.

Baroness has always been clad in a leather body suit in my mind. As much as I hated the movie... she never looked hotter. heh
Yours is ok, but try throwing on differing shades of black, maybe a blue dry brushing on the coat and pants, some more librarian looking glasses, and of course a cobra symbol.

She's going to get a few repaints and touchups now that I see mistakes. Sadly she wants to fall backwards even with those long GI JOe bases on her feet.
