Custom #:15858
Name:Bounty Hunter Chelch Kurn
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Star Wars
Creator:T-Man9613
Date Added:July 1, 2009
Base Figure:Maveric
Height:3.75 inches
This is Bounty Hunter Chelch Kurn. He is one of the most powerful and most reknown bounty hunter during the Fall of the Empire time period. He has hunted many different kinds of bountys and always made his bountys pay for what they have done! This recipe is an X-Men Origins Wolverine Maveric figure and I put the Escape From Kamino Jango Fett armor on him and I custom painted the armor. Then, I glued a control pad thingy from an arctroopers pauldron and painted a few buttons on it. Then, I took the jetpack from the Clone Wars Durge figure and glued it to his back and added battle wear and a custom paint job to match his armor. Next, I took the head from a GI Joe figure and gave it a scar. Finally, I painted a sripe on each foot, gave him Talon Karrades pistol and I customized the gun with the back of it from the aqua troopers gun and the front and magazine from the Maverics gun and the scope is from an Arc Trooper's rifle. That is my Bounty Hunter Chelch Kurn. You are always welcome to leave comments or email me. My email adress is in my profile comments. Thanks and happy customizing!

Hey T-Man,
I also think the yellow is fantastic, just give it a darker
wash or something like that....as if he was a little dirty.
But as I said earlier, whatever you do, its an excellent
figure bro.....Nice work.....

Yeh, I have been wanting to make a Kal Skirata also ever since you posted his name and I have the perfect head for him, but it might be a while before I make him. I'm not even sure if I am gonna make him. If your wanting to make one, I can give you the head if you want. I did have this figure a helmet and I was using it from a Tie Fighter helmet with a mando style to it, but it turned out a disaster And I wasn't sure that I wanted to use the jet pack, but it was the only thing that looked cool on him.lol Thank you all for leaving comments and you are always free to leave them or just chatter about figures!

THIS AWESOME! I love how you've been able to cannabilize so many different pieces and create soemthing so cool. If only the star wars line would break down and add the hip joint, they would be so much better--but you certainly took a mundane figure (Maverick) and turned him into something spectacular! Great work.

nice custom dude! Kandossi! Great use of the less than stellar(to me anyway) Wolverine line. are you gonna give him a buyce(a mando helmet)? I think that would complete him, but I just love Mando'ade in full beskar'gam =) As for color, I think you should go with what color you like best. I would make him a sandy metalic gold, but I'm obsessed with making a Kal Skirata custom, I can't wait to get a Mij Gilamer fig to make over, their gear is very similar as Mij was going to be Skirata, but the facial sculpt was too young to look like Kal'buir. Anyways, great custom, as always and I can't believe you had the gett'se to use Durge's jet pack as he is so hard to find in the clone wars line, I'm jealous! I always wanted one, I have too make do with the comic opack edition. =(

Yes I agree with you, but if I may ask, what do you all think would be the best color for this figure? Once I find the right color, ill post it again in its updated form and it should be really good by then!lol Thank you all for your great ideas.

You really did a good job with this figure mate, nice use of parts and
great paint...... Also there are some great suggestions from the other
lads that if you were to use them should push this figure to perfectness!!
Good stuff......

I know the color is a little bold for starwars as darththomas said, but mabe I can make yellow my own color with its own meaning. Thats what customizing is about right? But thank you all for the ideas. Ill keep them in mind.

if you turned the armour gold then it would represent vengance as mandalorian armour is painted to fit the individuals traits
Gray=Mourning a Lost Love
Red=Honoring a Father
Black=Justice
Gold=Vengeance
Green=Duty
Blue=Reliability

Thanks for the suggestion man. I kinda thought something wasn't fitting in, so thank you for your idea. As I have said before, theres nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism to help people with better ideas.

nice job dude, a couple of suggestions tho if I may be so bold, I think the colours are a little bold for the sw universe, try base coating black then dry brush silver and a little darker wash on the yellow might look good, love the concept tho, I'm just trying to offer improvements
