Carrion, the scariest, most interesting villain from spiderman and the 90's. I took a silver surfer the new battle one from target, apoxie sculped the hood and rags on his body. Painted him and sharpied the lines around his eyes. The last picture he's givin spidey the death touch...

Paint washes are easy, you just dilute the paint till it's fairly watery and apply it to the figure. The idea is that it sinks into the crevasses (like in between muscles), but not the upraised areas, and highlights the sculpt. Usually you want to use a darker color than what you're painting over; in the case of Carrion, I'd probably go with a brown, green, or gray wash. There should be some info/how-to stuff in the tutorials here at the site.

Whats up Mr. Smiley, and Patraw. This is Robert Espino, how did you know? Patrick?
I'm gonna chek out that Jackal custom. I think thats a good idea to use a spawn head, the burnt one probably.
keep the ideas and critiques coming cuz I am trying to get better, my next big idea is an ultimate Kaine. Anyone game?
I took mr. smileys advice using better backgrounds...
By the way, how do you do a paint wash???

Hey toxin. Great job on this guy. I don't really know what charecter he is (don't know many spidey villans) but he looks fantastic! And smart idea of using sharpie around his eyes. Ha! If I had used paint it would have been a mess. But great job. And hey, is toxinvenom, robert espino???

Pretty cool--after seeing a Jackal custom recently, I had hoped someone would do Warren's nasty clone. You did a good job on the rag additions, particularly on the hood/neck. I think the head would look closer to the comic book look if you had messed it up a bit to make it more haggard, and/or chosen a nastier head sculpt (something from one of the Spawn lines perhaps). I also think the body would have benefited from a paint wash, as it's rather pale and flat--the color variation a wash provides could give the impression of some convincingly sickly flesh if done right.
