O.K. so I am a huge Conan fan...Well here's a little chop job to Mcfarlane's Conan statue. I wanted to achieve a balance which maintained as much of the original appearance of the TMP statue (minus the hunched over shrugging pose) as well as the descriptions and visuals surrounding Robert E. Howard's story-The Frost Giant's Daughter. For the waist and below, I used the hips and legs of a viking spawn (with Conan leggings of course). I had to build up the left side of conan's face as the original hunching pose had him trying to kiss his shoulder or something, and I made a few little tweaks like turning the horns on the helmet upwards and using an Attila the Hun arm bracelet on the right arm. I added an extra row of leather scales to the abdomen, which I think helped eliminate the hunching look of the torso. This one was a while in the making simply because I couldn't decide how to proceed with the shoulders. I opted to use another WWE deluxe aggression figure for the shoulders and arms. And finally opting for cloth sleeves, I made my first venture into sewing. Anyways, here it is. I'm thinking of doing a couple of Frost Giants and of course Ymir's daughter Atali....

I'm glad that you like it, I hope Mcfarlane plans to do a series 3. I usually buy several of each figure. As much as I like to "improve" upon them, I also like to make sure and keep one in it's original form as well. I still have several Conan ideas in development. Sorry, but this one stays in my collection. I think the WWE figure that I used was a Randy Orton, the flesh so closely matched the color of the Conan figure's face, that I felt there was no need to paint it. I would like to eventually post items on a website, but my time is pretty occupied with work and travel, so as of now this is simply a hobby. Keep your eye on a website for loose lots, sometimes you can get several figures that have been opened for display or play pretty cheap because collectors might pass on as they have been opened.

Hey, this is the one! The figure I´ve always been looking for!
I´m a great Conan fan too.
Do you have the idea to sell this figure on a website or something? I´d be interested on it. (guess a lot of people...)
It´s difficult to find a WWE figure in Spain if it isn´t by a website, but I don't know which one could be the better one to customize one by myself. I´ve got the Cimmerian Mcfarlane figure still in the box, but I´m not sure I want to sacrifice it. (it´s hard to find in Spain either) . What´s your advice to me?
Keep on making that kind of awesome figures!!!

Good work with the fabric. The edges look clean and you choose a smaller thread fabric that doesn't look out of scale with the figure.
