Ke'Haan (Green Lantern) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:14070
Name:Ke'Haan
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Green Lantern
Creator:twillz1
Date Added:April 16, 2009
Base Figure:Despero
Height:7.00 inches
I used a Despero figure as my base, and got the horns from a Conan (series one) character's viking-style helmet. The three braids are made from an unraveled pair of Nike shoelaces. I filed the claws on the fingers and toes down, and used clay to fashion shoes. (I'm still not happy with how that turned out.) The epaulets on the shoulders are from a Mr. Sinister figure. All else was done with paint and prayers, lol. This is my 4th custom. I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this, albeit slowly.

Saw your stuff. That's a nice library of work, man. Left some feedback on my favorites.
By the time you read this, my Starkaor post should be approved. (I hope) Next up, I have this Mr. Sinister figure that I want to do something with. Time permitting, I should have something nice to post soon....

Thanks! I have two other customs,(my first two) but they were so simple, I didn't want to post them. I'm a Green Lantern fan, so all of my work so far was to add to my GL action figure collection. Looking at some of the other work here, I might have to branch out, tho..... The stuff on this site is incredible.
Post the other two customs, don't be shy. As a starter, it will show your progression in becoming a better and better customizer. Anything that has been altered in some way is considered a custom. You may not get feedback, but so what, you will have "published" your 1st customs. Later on you can look back on the earlier ones and laugh... and maybe make a second attempt. I see many customizers making a 2nd or even 3rd version of the same figure.
GL customizing is a good place to begin and grow. I am strictly into X-men, and I have approx 40 customs I would still like to make. I can bet you once I were to finish those 40, I'd have another 40 more I would like to create. There are literally 100's of characters in the X-men universe. Yeah, some of the customizers here are incredible, they are an inspiration and great to learn from.
I'm going to take your advice. I'm waiting for the moderators to approve my Starkaor custom. I haven't heard anything, so perhaps I did something wrong in posting. The others are on their way.

Thank you. I'm new both to this great site and customizing in general. I've only done four pieces so far. Hopefully, my 'Starkaor' piece will be approved by tomorrow for everybody to see. There's so much to see here, as far as the different techniques behind the art. I think I just found a new hobby!

While I have no idea as to who this guy is, I think you did a great job. Including the boots.
