This is my first custom action figure. It is entirely a Marvel Legends Patriot figure that has been heavily modified. Painted with Vallejo Model Color and Testors model Master Acryl paints. This custom took a very long time to finish. Looking back, it was probably not the best figure to begin my customizing adventures with. I really like the artist Brom and Penance's costume seems to have been inspired heavily by one of his paintings. That and the work by Marko Djurdjevic are the primary inspirations for the custom. Niallskie: Thank you! Glad you like it. This Penance is actually Speedball (Robbie Baldwin). His powers changed some and he took the name Penance after the events that started the Civil War. I believe the Penance from Gen X was a female. Not sure about her name or story though.
I came real close to quitting after this guy. Seemed like problem after problem. He was stripped down and restarted so many times I have lost count... Encouragement from folks like you kept me at it and now I am hooked. I just wish I had more time for it.
