Storm (X-Men) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:12590

Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:X-Men
Creator:pinoyboytoy
Date Added:February 12, 2009
Base Figure:Tonner BW Esme
Height:16.00 inches
I hope this qualifies as a figure here! This Storm figure was created from a Tonner Esme doll. Her hair has been completely re-rooted and her face has been completely re-painted and sealed. The costume took me months to make (as I have difficulty sewing) and is fully functional, the shoulder pads can detach from the cape the "X"s can attach to her bodysuit, the cape measures about 34 x 17 inches and is wired to enhance posability.

Very good work with that sewing. I tried sewing a cape and it came out looking like a shirt pocket so I know how much of a challenge a great outfit is to perfect.

I hope to change that mindset a little. I want to make customs which I would love to see in stores and not put the average action figure buyer off and make them say "hey, I would buy that!"

There were a few moments where I was so frustrated I almost gave up! Thank goodness I didn't!

Thanks for all the comments guys! I was too sure if this sort of custom would be hated or loved here but this is what I do! I figure there are so many awesome customizers using the 6 inch figures and even a few using the 12 inch (1:6) scale but very few in the 16 inch (1:4 scale), I may be the only one LOL!

I don't usually like the 'Barbie' type customs as my famous covers put me right off but this is something else - great interpretation!

Beautiful and sassy - would be cool if you wired the hem of her cape so that the cape would be poseable.

Absolutely beautiful! Great likeness. Sewing those costumes are the only reason I haven't finished any of my 12 female customs. I'm talking years behind. You are truly worthy of praise.
