ANYWAY.... gj baliscon, .. I like your take on batman.. makes him look more demon like but in a human/realistic view

Well, I'm kinda glad that this Batman caused such a raucous.
I was going for a sort of "Gotham by Gaslight" look. Something older.
I know that it is certainly not my best work, and I plan on creating another one when the mood strikes me.
I respect and admire a lot of your guys' work.

I am not taking sides here....I know critics are very helpful in most cases and so are people like me who usually say...THAT'S AWESOME OR SIMPLY BODACIOUS! BUT.....
personally, I can't find one thing wrong with it and this is why....
1. it's the customizer's vision or interpretation of said character. how can it be wrong? maybe different from what you would do or imagine it to be, but not wrong. even if it may be ugly...I can only sculpt UGLY things! If it's ugly, then people say it looks good on my account....lol! If I try to sculpt nice, it still turns out ugly.
2. what if he was going for a specific look, or maybe like an Elseworlds Batman. This one kinda reminds me of the Gotham by Gaslight Batman. I think with the use of leather and the sculpted cowl it gives it it's own very unique look. Kinda like an all black leather look of the 1900's Batman or something. The mask comes off looking more like a helmet, which doesn't bother me in the least bit. In the late 70's Captain America had 2 tv movies and he had a helmet on in it that was a variation of his mask.
3. I love any and all customs and I look at most on here, I just can't comment on everything I see. Normally, I just say "fantastic, or great job" and leave it at that, because I am no critic or critique of customs. I leave that to the experts. If anyone wants to critique or criticize any custom I do, feel free to do so, but don't expect me to do that because that's just not me.
that being said....FANTASTIC BATMAN! GREAT JOB and tell you the truth....you got me beat because I have yet to make my Batman custom to graduate from customizing school!

Look guys. There's no way I'm going to be able to explain the things I do, so I won't. What I can say is that I apologize for and rash comments I may have posted. I was out of line with saying that there was no support. There definitely was.
I cannot help but take that tone sometimes. This is in no way an insult, but I could think of a better way to express yourself other than saying it was the worst of his pieces. Still, I understand.
And Bravo, I'm sorry about my "victim complex." I never mean to be deliberately insulting, but I sometimes come off that way. No one can say any different about themselves. Despite any thoughts, I don't say those things to personally insult any of you.
I realize that by saying that, I was not supportive myself. I will try my best to stop doing this but I'm sure you will understand that I might occasionally slip up.

I can see where you were heading with this one and I think you are on the right track. I would agree that the head is throwing me off a little. I would say either expose more of the lower head like the traditional Batman or completely cover it.. kind of like the Cassandra Cain version of Batgirl. But I applaud you for sculpting and I am a fan or your work.

Evan I didn't mean it to be insulting its 1 my opinion, and 2 he could take it as a compliment because I basically never said it was bad I just said it was his worst because he typically puts out great fig which ,and the whole nothing supportive I could swear it was me who said his figs are typically better ,and correct me if I'm wrong didn't I also go on to say ''just so you know I like a lot of you other work''. How is he suppose to improve if I'm dishonest so as I told other who like to complain to me about my hold nothing back attitude(not saying both parts apply to you but the second does) Don't whine to me if you don't know what you are talking about and arent we all entitled to our opinion . Sorry if this seems rude or as I bullying but as members like sephiroth,Bakit!?,or DTM(sorry guys, hope you don't mind me slinging your name around) would tell you I'm I nice guy but won't hesitate to speak my mind .So long story short ,don't get on my case if you don't want me on yours .

you can quit with the victim complex, evan. the criticism here has been constructive, and in fact, within this entire forum, the vast majority of people only post when they enjoy the custom. I love baliscon's stuff, but I felt there was a huge flaw here. you post this stuff every single time someone brings up a concern about a custom.

Good grief, why do you guys love putting people down so much? I literally read nothing supportive just there. It seems like you guys are just looking or something to get on peoples' cases about. No custom is perfect and some need more work than others, but you don't tell someone "I think this is the worst thing you have ever made, and it is disappointing because..."
Geesh...

The only problem I have is there isn't enough 'face' showing through, if you know what I mean. A bigger hole in the cowl I guess. I like the design and materials.

I think this is the worst of your work Its disappointing to see because your work is usually better but just so you know I like a lot of you other work.

I usually love your stuff, but that mask needs work. very distracting right now.
