Don't think this is actually based on any comic continuity but I took my inspiration from two pre-Legends figures. The first was the early Toy Biz "Savage Land Wolverine" which featured the tribal markings and a later Wolverine figure released as part of a Savage Land concept series. From that second figure I took the idea of the skull armour. The head and hands are from an X-Men Classics Wolverine and the feet from the Indian Street Fighter guy. The skulls began life as the heads of two Dr. Who Krillitane figures. I cut those and worked them to look like skulls. The vine attaching them is wire of the kind that secures action figures in packaging. Not really intentional but I like the way it forms a rudimentary X-symbol. The Captain America figure already had the belt so for the remnants of Wolvie's old costume I just had to sculpt the shredding above the knee. painted with Citadel paints.

When I first started collecting X-figures I use to get so annoyed that with the great character depth of the X-universe that each series had its obligatory Wolverine variant at the expense of other less known characters. Now here I am all these years later churning out one myself!
