Batman 1989 Kenner 90s Style (Batman - Movie Style) Custom Action Figure
So recently I got back into my childhood toys and re-bought a lot of the old figures I had as a kid but honestly there aren’t many good Batman figures from the 1989-1997 movies imo. There are some fun ones sure but definitive movie accurate ones that I’d have loved as a kid and would want to display as an adult not so much. So I took a 1992 Batman returns figures head and belt from the figure (a lot of work to cut and chisel it out with the dremel), the torso from the orange Batman, arms from the red Batman and the legs from the 1989 Batman (not at first but upon realising the better standing situation with straight legs and added height they were swapped out). I then sketched out the cape from Batman using NECA figure for reference and movie stills and then hand sewed it. I also took a 1989 grapnel gun shortened it, reshaped it and added details such as the barrel for the claw and the claw itself. I’m really happy with how he came out, the likeness to Keaton and the aesthetic of a 90s movie figure that’s functional and has the appropriate accessory. The batarang from 1989 does fit in his hand but I was to edit it a little also. He fits in my Batman forever Batmobile and Batwing (all I had and I do like the style of those) and I got a little bat signal spotlight for the bat signal to help photos,. I’ve seen some good similar customs of this theme online but did my own thing/ own ideas with Batman and I’m excited to add my version here, thanks for having a look! Please wait... |
