It’s been a while, hey? I started this about a year ago and then I moved and didn’t really work on anything for a while. I’ve recently picked it all back up and I’ve been having the most fun. I just bought my first home too, so I hope to keep myself occupied in my space getting back into the craft for the foreseeable future! The base is an Emma Frost (black uniform,) with a cast of the Dark Phoenix head, and some bare set of arms I had laying around. I sculpted the details and body modifications (about as far as I got before the move,) before giving her joints a light sanding with a nail file. My other three Selene figures used the Enchantress head, which I intended to do here as well; I love her sassy expression for Selene. However, I ended up going with the Dark Phoenix head, which I also love and I feel really captures how she’s been drawn of late, particularly some panels by Werneck. I’ve painted the complexion of all of my Selena’s kind of with her Necrosha appearance in mind (albeit not quite as intensely vampiric as my actual Necrosha Selene), despite whichever look I’ve been making, as I think it really sets her apart from the many other dark haired white women of comic books… I’m very happy with how she turned out. She’s super clean, very smooth, I love her hair, the details, the finish. I do wish I was better at the photographing — all of the pictures seem to be a little blurry and washing her out. I use a DSLR, however I think my lens may require a cleaning or something. Any tips on the figure photography are especially appreciated. Thanks for checking her out, ![]() |
