Bullseye was already a member of Norman Osborn's Thunderbolts when Osborn helped to stop the Skrull invasion. For his reward, Osborn was given control of SHIELD and the Avengers. Bullseye joined the "Dark" Avengers as Hawkeye and remained on the team until their eventual defeat.
It was a no-brainer to use Hawkeye as the base. However, it wasn't just a straight repaint. I replaced the left arm at the shoulder joint and grafted on the Hawkeye arm mid-bicep. I made the wrist gauntlet for the right arm, sanded down the trap muscles so the chain mail would fit better, and spliced the TB Bullseye lower face onto the Hawkeye head. Finally, I repainted all the blue a lighter shade. Side note, I didn't replace the baby feet as I usually do. I figured, maybe having such small feet is what set Bullseye on the path of darkness. You know what they say about small feet...
