This went through some options. The variant cover featured mostly this design, but some alternates were considered. The first option was more balanced. Red down the middle. Blue and Black on either side. And then one arm Yellow and one Pink. But that either made the helmet a three way split or fully red. Half and half was the big appeal. But, the other idea considered was a Ranger colored like the Megazord. So, one leg Yellow, one Blue, arms Black, and then we'd have the torso Red and head Pink. Back to the Red and Black mixed head being the big appeal, and here we are! It was a cool, different project.

Helmet was from the 2010 MMPR Red Ranger, half resculpted to resemble the Black Ranger helmet. Sculpted the belt, morpher, and gloves. From there, a tedious repaint, and all done!
