Something new I've been working on recently is Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Inspired by Gonzo Custom Figures even if our approaches were totally different. A client asked me to paint his figure with metallic colors so I've decided to test it first on mine. Well, it wasn't a total success due to massive rub (transluscent green is having problems sticking to the base coated silver without chipping easily) but the final effect is quite intetesting and other worldly - this combined with the specific base figure I used gives Hal and almost Giger-esque makeover. Also on a side not, I'm not a fan of the white Lantern gloves, that color seems so random on them. For the head I went with the Etrigan variant of Alan Scott so the one with a power eye flare, something I decided on trimming a bit. Added the ring smoke (it gives some nice momentum to posing thanks to the slight bend) and voila, Hal "I'm Such a Mess" Jordan is ready to fly/trip on bars on soap. recipe: head - McF Dread Lantern (Alan Scott) body - McF Batman Forever ![]() |
