Surely you remember combative Cadet Finnegan from the classic TOS episode "Shore Leave." In that episode, a fist-happy Finnegan appears as a ghost of Captain Kirk's Starfleet Academy past on a planet that turns the Enterprise crew's thoughts into sometimes deadly nightmares. Finnegan and Kirk duke it out within an inch of their lives, so I thought I'd honor Kirk's, um,...nemesis...with a figure. To build him, I started with a customized Kirk figure I found on ebay. I removed the Kirk head and standard delta badge. I 3D-printed a sunflower that looked pretty close to Finnegan's Academy badge. Did some customizing on the upper torso paint job. Then I found a "The Jerk"-era Steve Martin head 3D print file online, printed, painted and voila! A pretty close approximation to Finnegan.
