Keiji Maeda 前田 慶次 from Samurai Warriors (Sengoku Musou) custom figure.

The series is not that well known, but for me, it holds a special place in my heart. Samurai Warriors by Koei is celebrating its 20 year Anniversary and it seems fitting that I created my favourite character from the games.

Keiji is made using MOTU He-man as the base with a 3d printed head with 2 expressions.

The rest of the costume is all hand-made using various materials, from leather and fabric to modelling putty and anything else I could find to be true to his appearance.

I have also created his faithful steed Matsukaze 松風 (Wind in the pines) using Mcfarlanes Dark Knight Returns horse as a base.

Legend states that Matsukaze had proved too wild for its original owners and ran off into the countryside; it was next seen being ridden by Keiji, who had managed to tame him. Since then, the two have never been seen apart.

Matsukaze was said to be a horse of immense size and strength, able to carry his master's large frame for days. After his master's death, it is said that Matsukaze ran off and was never seen again.
