Cerebus the Aardvark and Lord Julius (Legendary Comic Book Heroes) Custom Action Figure
I dug these out of a small plastic tub of long past nearly forgotten customs. They were made sometime between 2003 and 2006 when I was reading the bound volumes of Cerebus the Aardvark. It was during a time of customizing when I had more ambition but less experience and skill. They were posted on Fwoosh way back when but those posts are long gone. I cleaned and touched up some of their paint from wear and tear of being loose in a tub with other figures for all those years and posting them anew here for keepsake and nostalgia. Rough in fit and finish as they are, they were among my better work back in those days. Cerebus was made from a Dragonball Z figure, I think. If not it was a figure of an anime property akin to that. Lots of dremeling and sculpting. Lord Julius is perhaps Cerebus' greatest foil in the stories. Dave Sim the author patterned LJ's personality and looks after Groucho Marx (whose real name is Julius Marx, hence the character name Lord Julius). I used a Plan B soldier action figure as base for him and resculpted the head and legs. Please wait... |
