Simple recipe here... but to be honest I may give it another go as I'm not totally satisfied with the end result. Mockingbird was on the first page of the first comic book I ever bought (Avengers 1st series #253) and has been a favourite ever since. I have the original Marvel Universe action figure, and at one point swapped out some bare legs from a Ms. Marvel figure in order to replicate the look she had During John Byrne's Vision Quest story arc. I even used some fabric to give the marvel Universe figure the billowing sleeve look. This figure is my attempt to update that. Started with mixed colour pieces from Boss Fight Blanks (shout out to Vitruvian Armory). Then used some black fabric to cut pieces for the boot tops and sleeves. Most customs I see of Mockingbird have sculpted sleeves, so I wanted to try something different. Added gauntlets and painted them silver for the bracers she attached her battle staves to. Used a Marauder's Valkyrie "Athena" head and then black construction paper to cut out the mask. Definitely looking for suggestions on how I could improve this one. ![]() |
