Since Zatanna has thigh boots I decided to fuse and sculpt over ML White Rabbit's thigh cuts and make another lower down so the cuts would be hidden behind the boot tops. I didn't want to use soft goods fishnet for her stockings because I wanted to try to have control over the size of the pattern. I searched the web for some fishnet patterns and after deciding on one I tiled it so it would fill an entire sheet of paper, then scaled the pattern up and down and test printed on paper till I got the size I liked. I then printed it onto decal paper that I bought on eBay some years back. It was tough getting the decal paper to wrap around the thighs without getting a ton of folds and wrinkles causing the pattern to overlap because the thighs had shape to them instead of being perfect cylinders. After multiple tries I got to one attempt that wasn't too bad. It still had overlaps which didn't create a smooth pattern. I was going to sand it off and start over but decided to try to retouch the bad spots out with flesh colored paint and black paint markers. And that got results that I could live with. White Rabbit's watch and chain had to be cut out and the holes sculpted over. I hollowed out the bottom of her hat so that it would pressure fit onto her head at that angle after a bit of heating. Wand is made from a toothpick. Head: ML Mary Jane Watson Upper torso: ML Scarlet Witch Arms: ML Typhoid Mary Lower torso and legs: ML White Rabbit Hat and jacket: DC Direct Alex Ross Zatanna She's part of my ongoing effort to make ML compatible versions of my DC must have characters. ![]() |
