My second favorite Tactics Ogre character! Super useless in Ogre Battle, but I still used him constantly. In Let Us Cling Together, you get him super early, so I'm also a bit burnt out on the character. But he's so good! In my last playthrough, I tried to swap him out for a standard Hawkman but couldn't get one even close to his strength. I also learned something researching these projects. I always thought lots of Ogre Battle concepts were dropped, but apparently, they were mostly renamed. In Ogre Battle, Canopus is an Eagle Man, and in Tactics Ogre, it's a Vartan. I associated it with a class change over time but turns it's just a renamed class. Design wise, this was a rough one. For one, I never realized he had a ponytail. And of course, all the art differs, and all the sprites differ. So, I selected one of his Tactics Ogre designs to focus on. I debated giving him a club like his original look, or a bow, but I opted to just skip all that in the end. More Winged Ones to come, but I think it's a Knight next.

Head was from a BossFight male blank with the hair, headband, and ponytail sculpted on. Wings were from Angel. Hands were from a BossFight mage, with lower legs from Daredevil. Sculpted the bottom of the pants, the boots, top of the pants, bandages around his waist, belt, glove, collar, and fur shoulder sections. Full repaint, and all done!
