This was started about a year ago and was all painted and 95% completed then put back into the "in progress" bin and stayed there. The problem was I had used legs from an ML Wonderman and they didn't really look good with the torso from the DC Essentials Aquaman. I've combined DC Essentials standard buck torsos onto lower bodies from ML Wonderman/Gray Gargoyle bucks before, but the Aquaman torso is just a bit chunkier in looks than the standard DC Essentials buck. When combined with the Wonderman legs for some reason it made the figure look stubby and short. And the Wonderman lower legs didn't leave much room above the boot cut to put Aquaman's calf fins on, nor did the area below the boot cut have enough room to attach the fins. The boot cut would have to be fused and sculpted over and I preferred not to do that. So I left it unfinished and worked on other customs instead.

I got back to working on it around a week ago and heat/popped off the legs at the thigh cuts and tried popping ML Vulcan's legs in. Luckily they popped and fit onto the pegs. He still looked a bit stubby but the leaner thighs did help. And that made me realize that it was the Wonderman buck's boots that were chunky looking from the lower shins down. I still had the problem of the boot cut not allowing the calf fins to span it, so I decided to lengthen the lower shins just above the ankle. The fins would have to attach lower on the figure than how they're drawn in the comics but I was okay with that as a compromise to have them instead of fusing the boot cut. He ends up taller than ML Namor, which was who I used as a height reference to match. Oh well.
