The original figure I used was Builder Luigi, but Jakks made some updates to the figure. I removed the belt which was molded on. It left some parts behind, so I filed it off with the lowest setting on my dremel. I used a 1000 grit sandpaper to smooth the areas. I used milliput to cover the areas the best I could. I masked off the shoes and spray painted the legs with Macragge Blue. I used the same color but painted the body by brush. It was easier as I didn't have to mask off the arms. I swapped the helmet for a standard hat by placing them in front of a heater for a minute. I was able to peel them off and make the swap. I also swapped the hands with a pair of open ones.
