I want to paint all four turtles from this line, as these are among my favorite ever released by Playmates. Starting out with Leo! I'm going for the painterly rendered look from the upcoming movie. Raph is next.

As for the process, I used acetone to strip the existing paint on his head, elbow and kneepads as well as his weapons and belt, then cleaned and prepped with a quick "plastic annealing" lick of flame across the entire figure using a butane torch, before wiping it all down again with isopropyl alcohol. Then primer, and acrylic paint (Mostly Liquitex acrylic inks.) Sealed with Liquitex matte varnish.
