Hi, thanks for swinging in again. Here is my modded up Toybiz Spidey.

Base body is Spin & Kick Spidey with Magnetic Spidey legs and 2002 SM1 arms fitted to the butterfly joints. Magnetic feet with added toe magnets for better crawling poses. Magnetic hands were heated to curve the fingers in and look more wall-climby and less manicure-y lol. He also has alternate super poseable hands. While I love the magnetic pieces for this figure, I do plan on repainting and repurposing them for another Spidey that I’m working on.

The masked head from the Raimi Trilogy is the SM2 head with Hasegawa mirror finish on the eyes and full repaint, while the NWH mask is the 2002 Movie Leaping Spidey figure. I chose that head because it was the most similar Tobey mask sculpt to the smushed up NWH look.

The unmasked head for younger Tobey is the 2002 sculpt used across all figures from that film, while the older head is a retooled Scooter Spidey alt head. I originally painted the face and added stubble, but later decided to paint in some shading to create “wrinkles” and give him more of an aged Tobey look, rather than a younger 2004 Tobey with stubble lol. I’m not sure if I captured his older look perfectly, but I am happy that my knowledge of makeup and how to age someone up was able to at least help me make something acceptable enough. I suppose I’ll leave that judgement to you! I also added a fodder neck with thinned down segments of other Spidey figures to create the “collar” of his Spidey suit.

Lastly, I gave him a bendy web from my collection, bought a dollhouse miniature pizza with its box, and then made the delivery bag (inspired by Spider-Man 2: The Game) from cardboard, craft foam, and a hair tie.

All but the web and pizza was hand painted entirely by me. This was definitely a more involved project than a lot of my past ones in terms of painting and kitbashing, but I’m fairly happy with him. I’m currently already working on my next Tobey figures and I think between my Black Spidey from last year and this one, it might not be a bad idea to hit the webs with darker silver from here on out, as I’m seeing the current shade tends to photograph very bright.
