It's pretty rare to get an aquatic animal as a Sonic OC (I'm pretty sure aside from the merhogs in the Adventures of Sonic cartoon they only existed in the Archie comics.) But the guy who asked me to make this one somehow found a mint on the card Jazwares Sonic figure for me to use as a base. I didn't want to dismantle such a rare and expensive figure so I used a mega construx soldier instead, with some leftover Sonic parts I had in my fodder bin (Sonic's head, Shadow's hands, and Wave's shoes) The tail is sculpted by hand and stuck on the figure's belt so the waist joint still works.
