Salu Digby is a native of the planet Imsk, which gives her the ability to shrink down to microscopic proportions, and she can even achieve subatomic size when necessary. She is a longtime member of the Legion of Super-Heroes under the code name Shrinking Violet. Shrinking Violet was created in 1961 by writer Jerry Siegel (the co-creator of Superman) and artist Jim Mooney. She became the fourth female character to join the Legion of Super-Heroes and the Legion's thirteenth member overall.
