Ahh the Punisher-Frank Castle-one of my all time favourite characters-ever!! This custom has been a long time coming!

I wanted to make a Punisher ages ago but never quite found the right figure-but I have recently bought some cheap Street Fighter figures and I had to buy Guile. I have seen him used before as the Punisher and other characters and I always liked him as a base figure.

Recipe: basically Guile-with hair cut off and remodelled in Frank's style with Milliput and a Punisher paint job.

The Coat and belt are from the Marvel Select Punisher Figure

The Guns are from Spawn and some cheap knock off figures.

I wanted to get the look of Frank's more recent incarnation - specifically from the pages of Garth Ennis's story arcs-I liked the idea of him being this big tough older man-a Vietnam vet- which of course he is supposed to be.

This Punisher was based on the story arcs "The Slavers" and "Up is Down and Black is White"-I like how the artist has made Frank's face scarred and beaten-so I wanted to replicate this on my figure hence painting scars the sticking plasters on the heads.

I couldn't decide which head I wanted so I decided to do them both-this way I can display Frank as mean and moody or just plain angry.

Hope you like him-comments,etc appreciated.

cheers

Hi both-thanks for the feedback-
I did put a thin glaze of flesh tone over the faces to soften the shadows a bit -but I wanted to retain the "comic" look of Frank with dark eyes and heavy shadows-plus I wanted the scars to be noticable but not too dark! I wouldn't have normally done such extreme shading but Frank is a special case.
cheers

Good custom. I like your choice of base figures and it's better than most of the commercially produced figures of this character. I would suggest that you hit the face with a coat of glaze mixed with some flesh color to blend in the shading and highlights.
