"Well, not even last night's storm could wake you. I heard them say we've reached Morrowind, I'm sure they'll let us go. Quiet, here comes the guard. You better do what they say."

Saint Jiub, Jiub the eradicator or Jiub the Magnificent was a dark elf who rid Vvadenfell of the winged menace: the Cliff Racer’s. Winged airborne beasts that plagued the land by attacking unsuspecting travellers indiscriminately. Having been released from prison at the same time as the Neraverine, Jiub decided to pay back his crimes by helping the people of Morrowind by beginning this crusade culling of the endless Cliff Racer numbers. Armed with a Glass sword and a longbow whilst riding a Silt Strider, Jiub began hunting the pests across the land until he was led by one of the cunning creatures to the main horde of Cliff Racer’s. Tapping the Silt Strider on the back of its legs with his blade he sent his mount off to safety and engaged in a gruelling battle with countless Cliff Racer’s.

Now for reference points Jiub did in fact carry a glass sword and I assume a longsword. This information was found in St Jiub’s Oppus in Skyrim as well as the information on his hunt astride a silt strider. I’ve seen fan art of him wielding only iron/ steel/ silver looking swords but if it’s in the Oppus I’m using that as a reference point.

I made him out of a Toybiz Mr Fantastic head, arms, torso and shins, Wolverine legs, Aragorn hands, Frodo feet and random plastic for the ears. The sword was made from the King of the Dead’s sword handle and just plastic. Both sculpted over with miliput and reinforced with superglue and shaped by hand and dremmel. Took a few weeks of a few hours here and there but made sure I got done in time for the 01/04/2022 marking 20 years since the release of of the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Had fun getting him done and really happy with the eyes including the light dot and shading. Glass items are always nice looking so making a gnarly glass longsword based of Morrowind’s version was fun. A seemingly simple custom but with a lot of love and work put into it.
