A few years before the official release, I had started working on my own Doppleganger.
I had to put him on the backburner for a while but after the official release, decided to restart mine while making changes to the actual one.

I used the original Toybiz Doppleganger hands, head, and feet.
I used the arms from basically any of the mold that they were using for Spider-Man at the time. In this case it was the All New Spidey/MJ 2 pack and the Retro versions.
I also added joints to the hands by using whichever I could find.

I also came across an image where it had skin around the mouth. Possibly just an incorrect color that was used since he was in the background.
I figured to go with it as an alternate version.
