Okay, this one is a little bit of an obscure one. From Superman (Vol. I) #137 we have Super Bully, the teenage identity of the Superman Villain Super Menace. He only appeared once, in that issue, which detailed how the infant Kal-El's spaceship collided with an alien satellite that contained a duplication ray. Upon crashing on Earth, he was found by gangster "Wolf" Derek and his gun moll/wife, Bonnie, who raised him as their own instilling in him criminal tendencies. The duplicate of Kal-El mirrored every aspect of Superman's life, but in an evil manner...Super Brat instead of Superbaby, Super Bully instead of Superboy, and Super Menace instead of Superman. Bonnie Derek even created for him a duplicate of the traditional Supersuit, but with the addition of a black domino mask. While Super Bully never officially encountered Superboy until they were adults, I still thought it would be cool to make a figure of him and add him to my Superboy set.
To do this figure, I first took a Crisis on Infinite Earths Series 3 Earth-Prime Superboy and I mixed up a small batch of and created the mask on the figure's face. When the Milliput had dried, I repainted the mask with Testors Model Masters Flat Black, followed by two coats of Flat Clear. Next, I slapped on new chest and cape symbols with a little glue (both symbols were made by hand at a larger size, and then photocopied and shrunk to proper size...however, unlike previous hand drawn symbols I had done before, these are drawn with a slight curve to each of the sides as well as a slightly smaller size to more match the look of the "S" symbol of the late Silver Age/Bronze Age of Superboy stories), and TA-DA...Super Bully!!!
Please let me know what you guys think of him, and as always, comments are appreciated.
