Sersi is an Eternal. She is the daughter of Helios and Perse. Sersi is the only fifth level adept, the highest possible, among the Eternals in the discipline of matter rearrangement. Amongst the Eternals it's said that even Prime-Eternal Zuras, mightiest of all Eternals, fears the power of Sersi. Sersi first appeared under the name of "Circe" in Strange Tales #109 in June 1963. She then appeared with the other Eternals in Eternals #3 in September 1976, created by Jack Kirby. This series was intended as a stand alone series outside the rest of the Marvel Universe, but the characters were subsequently introduced into the mainstream Marvel Universe/Earth 616 in Thor #283-284 and have remained there ever since. When Sersi first appeared she was shown as an glib, eccentric hedonist whom was always looking for, and ready for, a good time. It was later revealed that Sersi already appeared in Strange Tales 109 (before her appearance in the Eternals), but it was under a different name.
